Wednesday 15 December (deferred from Thursday 2 December), 19:00-20:30: Technical education - purpose, prejudice and progress (PAG online event)

Ginny Page (RS 1999-2009) will cover some key changes in technical education. She will also share some insights from the Gatsby Foundation’s experience in effecting systemic change in education in England, and provoke some debate about how that system should produce future scientists and engineers.

Date to be announced: Influencing Policy And Achieving The Sustainable Development Goals (PAG online event)

Global Citizen aims to build a movement of 100M action-taking citizens to help achieve its vision of ending extreme poverty by 2030. Marie Rumsby, Global Citizen's UK Country Director, will give some insight into how the challenge is being approached. The workshop will cover evidence-based policy reports, to broad coalitions of civil society, to mobilising the public to take campaigning action. Marie will explore the most effective ways of building and mobilising a global community that is committed to lasting change and defeating extreme poverty.
